Make sure they have access to whatever line group that the CO lines are in.

The problem issue of the 2 extensions not being able to access specific lines can be simple to complicated. I have several questions.

1 How many lines total are fed into the system?

2 Are all lines in the same line group?(9-8-7x)

3 How do those 2 users usually access the lines? Do the press a programmed line key or press the access code?

4 Most important question: What level of software is the system running?

grider,thanks for the response.
1.they have 5 lines.
2.i dont know what group they are in, im not familiar with esi when i received the request for service we checked the obvious since they are next to each other we checked that the circuits were good to the stations but couldnt proceed because we dont have reference material on the system. we took a extension that wasnt used much and cross connected it to one of the stations that is out of service to give them one working set.
3. they have access by direct selection.
4. i dont know what version can you tell me where i can get the manuals. i also have another customer i picked up the other day that had no i vendor and i need to put another circuit into the system. Any help is appreciated

Project Completed

The 2 extensions in question did not have access to line group 9. I fought the modem and corporate America plus some really strange "circumstances" that go way back to issues related to Norvergence & New Jersey for 2 weeks but it is done.
