The remote parties on a conference call can barely hear each other - a typical conferencing issue. Looking through an older manual there should be a system option to increase the volume for conference calls, but I can't find it. I think I'm working with a software version 8.0

I have tried turning on the PAD option for the line cards.

There is a debug routine for turning up volume for conference. I use to have Executone activate it.

Have you tried using a add-on conference key.

Good Luck!!

Would an add-on key really make a difference? I hadn't thought of that... The thing about this one that doesn't make any sense is that the customer says this problem just developed recently. I'm not sure I believe them.

Did they change Telco vendors?

Resellers sometimes get poorer quality lines from the big dogs.

Good Luck!!

Thanks for the replies JJ, but no, they have not switched telco providers. I asked every question I could think of and they assured me that nothing else to do with the phones has changed recently.

This is from memory so it may not be totally accurate. Using level 10 access, go to CTRL-D diagnostics. M for modify address. Type ENABLE_TURBO. The data string should be 55. After entering that escape out to the B screen. You'll see a Letter Y in the L section where there wasn't one before. Turn it to yes for each line you want to boost the gain on. Again I'm not positive, I'll try it out this afternoon and let you know. Hopefully this jogs someones memory?

Ok just tried it. It's just the word TURBO not ENABLE_TURBO After you enter the word type 55 next to data and hit enter. This will bring up the field you need. Good luck!

Thanks for the info Doug, I will see if this works. I'm not sure about the Level 10 thing though. As far as I remember the passwords only went up to Level 8 - am I missing something?

I don't think I can give passwords here? Email me and I'll send you the level 10 access.
