Hi I'm trying to hook up a Loud Ringer to a used IVX 128 system that a customer purchased. I'm thinking I should use one of the analog ports. I have three port cards in the system but I've only got the first card connected to a 66 block currently. Where would I find the analog ports, what extension are they supposed to be, and what color code are they on since most of this is not labeled. Are the analog ports programmed to ring on incoming lines by default, I don't think much in the system has ever been changed from default.

One of those 3 port cards will need to be a 684 card, hopefully it is the one you are connected to. If it is then the first analog port is pins 17/18 or Red/Brown.
Next step after connecting is programming and you will need help.

If you have a paging system, there is another option to using an analog port.

Bummer Dustin, 1-612 Card & 2-D12 Cards. You need a 684 Card to do this right.

From reading some other posts it appears I can take a phone apart and hook some kind of bell to the phone. This would be pretty rigged up but it would actually work ok in this instance. They also plenty of unused phones since they bought this second hand. So I took the back off one of the phones but I'm not sure what to do lol. What kind of bell or horn do I need. To I just splice it into the wires going to the speaker of the phone. Here are two photos of the phone: https://www.innovativecs.biz/CIMG0010.jpg https://www.innovativecs.biz/CIMG0011.jpg Thanks!

Put the phone back together!, This is NOT what you need to do!the phones are Digital, The Analog ports are what You need to hook up the Loud bell to.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel..

If you go the phone rip apart method, you need to have a paging system, not a ringer. Basically you're tapping into the speaker of the phone, so there is no ringing voltage or relay trip present. Whether you are supposed to or not we end up doing it quite a bit, it's a lot cheaper to rip up an old phone then to have to buy a new card for your system.

They do have an overhead pager, I have it connected to the paging port so they can page people in the plant. I can't remember what it is called. Would I just take the wires going to the speaker and wire them into the pager?
