FYI. I have a client that had a Nortel for almost 14 years. They have a Fax Server connected to analog ext ports, everything worked ok all this time. I recently swapped the Notel with ESI-600 same setup as the nortel. Now there are a few companies that cannot send to this Fax Server, incoming call will drop in 8 sec.s. BTW, same PRI AT&T carrier. The person sending the fax also has a Fax Server BUT it's on a dedicated POTS line. Also the person trying to send from a fax server has a standard fax machine on the same POTS line and it can send okay to the recieving fax server on the CS600.
After trying all tweaks and adjustments which none worked the problem was solved by programming the DID # as a Pilot Table and take out of the DID Table. Why it works when programmed in Pilot Table and not the DID table does not make sense to me but it works.

ESI handel's Pilot numbers differently than DID's, also, You didn't say, but are you using a 684 card? or the A12 ? You will have better performance with the A12.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel..

Hm, I've got a CS-200 with many DID's pointing to a fax server all works well, never had a problem. Is the analog ext. set as 'server'?
