We have a ESI-200 system and recently changed our router. We are now using a Sonicwall.
Accessing the system programmer works fine. After changing over to the new router VIP took a dump. It is now giving me the message, Timeout connecting to NSP. Consult VIP trouble shooting guide for help. That guide is very lacking. I am sure that it has something to do with the services setting on the router but I have everything like it was on the old router. Port 59002 on TCP. What am I doing wrong or what am I missing. This is frustrating.

Did you check you're settings in sonicwall for
outbound and inbound traffic on port 59002?

And is sonicwall you're direct source that
controls your internet. Or do you have another
device before it>?

Looks like your ports are not open for both incoming and out going traffic on port 59002

I have had instances where the SonicWall was programmed properly but it would still not allow traffic through open ports.

My customer dealt with their tech support to solve the problem.

It has been a while since i did a VIP install myself but i remember more than one port having to be opened.

You could always call your reseller as well.
