Hi All, We launched a new site a couple of months ago, having a hard time finding it on the search engines. I think I've got the title, keywords, description etc. down correctly. Any idea's or suggestions would be much appreciatted. www.centralfloridaphones.com Thanks

Try these two things to help... "White text" This is just like your Meta Keyword list but it is printed at the bottom of the bage to match the background color. This will allow search engines who ignore the meta tags to still get those key words. Also Yahoo has a link at the bottom of the page, "suggest a site". This should help get the ball rolling.

if you search "Business Telephone Systems | VoIP | Network Cabling" in Google you show up and you come up even higher if you search "Business Telephone Systems | Network Cabling | Gainesville" you come up #1.
That search comes from your title tag. Hope that helps
edited: I was looking at the wrong site.
North Florida comes up not your site. It looks as if you copied a lot of tags from North Florida's site. Your title tag: Business Telephone Systems | VoIP | Network Cabling | Ocala | Gainesville | Central Florida
North Florida's site: Business Telephone Systems | Network Cabling | Gainesville | Ocala | Florida

I guess we work in the same markets and areas. We don't copy anyone but I see some similarities here.
Thanks for the input.

Stupid on my part - meta name=googlebot content=noarchive
Any other suggestions, although I think that tag didn't help!

You may want to remove the hidden text on the bottom of your page and check out Google\'s Webmaster Guidelines . If Google catches you, they will penalize you for this. You can also get some good tips on how to structure your web site, use ALT tags and H1 Tags. You really need to work on getting some quality links to yourself. Check out topic related directories where you can add your web site to get started. Then Google should index your entire site.

It was suggested earlier in this thread that white text was a good idea? Any other opinions? Thanks to all who have responded.
