We have an Enterprise CS system that is going to be connected to our LAN for remote administration and maintenance. Which version of the Iwatsu programming software do we need to do this? Can it be downloaded by an authorized dealer and given to customers? Or is it sold to customers?

Contact your dealer for this. The headaches saved will more than make up any charges you may incur from the dealer.

The dealer is making the network connection and will be using our Internet connection for remote administration and maintenance. But is the software available to customers?

The latest version of ECS software.

This software is not designed, nor intended for end user use. However, no one can stop your dealer from downloading it for you.

I thought you said that your system was down...

Keep in mind that this is proprietary software and the customer will not be able to purchase it. If you are going to allow a customer to have this software, I would suggest some intensive Admin. training.

Our dealer installed the ECS software and provided basic instructions. So far, we have modified a few minor settings, with no plans to make major changes. Of course, the dealer knows that if we screw up, he'll get to charge to fix it. But at least he can now do that remotely since we connected the PBX to the LAN.
