We are installing an Adix System that has 4x8 Combo cards in it. I have an Adix Manual, but it does not show the wiring on those cards. We have the lines and stations connected and everything is working, but we cannot figure out where to punch down the paging tip and ring. I have tried some web sites with manuals, but they all have the same one I do. Can anyone help?

You need an additional card for overhead paging such as a MISC or EDVIF.

I thought you said that your system was down...

Not to open up a can of worms, but I have been guilty of breaking open an MKT phone and attaching the speaker leads to the paging equipment. Then it is just programming a DSS key.

Can of worms? Hey, Viking Electronics makes a unit (#M2W) that's made specifically for this purpose and it even includes a paging horn.

Been there, done that. Good indication of this is a phone strapped to the wall high above the phone system, or a phone up high near a paging horn smile

There were two different slots that had EDVIF written in pencil under 2 different slots, but no card is present. There is an extra phone which I have not looked at and I bet that is how they were doing it. If not, that is how they are going to do it now.

you can use a Viking PI-1 with an analog Station port for Ring over page. For Horn paging us a Trunk port. If you Send me an e-mail I can give you further information on how to connect to this device and Yes the worm is open again using an MKT phone for both.
