Iam wanting to install X Lite on my laptop and use my Iwatsu system. It is asking for User Name and Password. Can someone tell me what I should use? Also asked for Authorization User name? Any Ideas?
Just a thought why couldnt I just take a desk phone and put the public IP and have my firewall allow the connection ( unknown what to open ), will this work and what all would I need to allow the conection?

In order to use X Lite, you'll need SIP licenses installed in your ECS, one for each SIP phone you intend to use. If you just want a soft phone, why not use the proprietary soft phone designed for your ECS? It would also require licensing. Give your vendor a call.
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

Hello, We have ECS and am trying to get an X Lite phone working on a new laptop. It is running Windows 7 and X Lite appears to work fine, but the Iwatsu Softphone does not work at all on Win7 (regardless of the compatibility mode you attempt to run it in). So, we have the SIP licenses, but we can't figure out how to configure XLite to our ECS server.
If anyone has any ideas about what should be input to the following fields, I would greatly appreciate it:
User Details/Display Name: User Details/User name: User Details/Password: User Details/Authorization user name: User Details/Domain:
Domain Proxy/Register with domain and receive incoming calls (Checkbox) Domain Proxy/Send outbound via: (Choose domain or proxy; if proxy, enter Address)
Dialing Plan:
(Side note: In general, the Softphone has been very unstable on user's machines. It doesn't even seem to work well with the UC client.)
Thank you!
