I am trying to figure out the port settings for smdr on an edvif card in an iwatsu adix system. Right now all dip switches are up except for 7 which is down. I thought that was 1200 baud but not sure. Also can i assume that the parity is none and the bits are 8?

The cable is plugged in to the top rj 45 if that makes a difference. Looking to get smdr working again on the system.

With those switch settings, you're looking at 1200 bps, 7 bit, even parity. Switch position 4 in the 'on' position will give you 8 bit, no parity.

Switch positions 6-8 do not relate to SMDR output, so don't worry about them.

Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.
