We have an ext (440) that we forward to an 800# after hours. When you hit the extension from our Auto attendant the call is forwarded fine. However our lobby phone when you hit zero (which rings the extension 440 normally) and 440 is forwarded offsite the call just rings and rings. I thought maybe it was a COS issue on the lobby phone (analog) but i can dial the 800# fine. Any ideas?

The zero is set as a feature code in programming (Class 7) and is handled as if it were a hunt group access code. Regular non-UCD hunt groups will not remote call forward.
You might try renumbering extension 440 as 0, then removing the 0 reference in Class 7.6.30 . This assumes that you have only one true attendant position. You may also have to modify the auto attendant routing set-up to accommodate the different extension number.

Is zero listed as a hunt group access code anywhere?
Putting a zero in element 30 directs the system to ring any port listed in Class 4 under the heading of True Attendant. Do you have some other extension numbered zero? If so, dialing a zero from anywhere is going to ring that port instead of ext 440.

but if from all the digital phones dialing zero with ext forwarded it works. why would dialing zero from lobby phone be different. what is the best way to trace what ext or something the phone is hitting?

I had a feeling...I checked the dbase, and there IS an extension named zero that is all-call forwarded to extension 440.
Cascade call forwarding does not function when using Flexible call forwarding. So calling zero, which forwards to 440 won't result in a remote call forward.
Things to try:
Call 440 from an analog phone when call forwarding is set. I can't think of anything that would restrict an analog phone call from being restricted. Call should go through.
I'd just renumber extension 440 as zero, take the zero away from the extension on port 178 and not have to deal with all the cascading.

ok finally got site to do more testing. When the calls are forwarded from any phone in the building if you hit zero it just rings and rings and rings. i am testing the calls being forwarded from the autoattendnat tonight to see if it does the same thing. If not i may just have zero dial the AA and have it forwarded from the AA selection.
