Our analog devices are not getting caller ID info; since our digital KT-3 phones correctly identify the calling party, I believe I can assume the information is being correctly transmitted down our PRI, and should be available to send to the SLT port, no? To test, I used a CallerID-capable SLT on a POTS/1FB line, and the information displays as expected.

Where in the programmer can I look to see why the analog machines (faxes, modems) are not displaying the information?

For Caller ID to be sent to an analog device, a few things have to be in place:

The analog ports are coming off an IX-8SUBS4 card installed in an ECS switch. Caller ID to analog devices isn't supported in earlier ADIX equipment, or from earlier version analog station cards.

In ECS programming, Stations>SLT, Caller ID has to be enabled to an analog port. By default, analog stations are set NO CID/Message Lamp. Set each port appropriate to your installation.

I see from the programming guide that's in Class 10 item 61. Although the devices are off a 8SUBS4 card, the CoS jumps from item 59 to 71.

ECS s/v 1.21

JBean, I see from the programmer that item 61 appears somwhere between ver 1.5 and 3, but would you happen to know in which version it was first introduced?

ECS version 2.02 and above is required to pass CID info. Probably a good time to upgrade, since the current version is 8.0
