I am trying to offer service on an Iwatsu ADIX system and my customer has a station that currently is restricted and can only dial in house (4 digit dialing). They need me to set the station up to be able to dial out when a PIN code is entered. I can get into programming and have looked around a bit but am really needing a point in the right direction. Thanks.

You want to program Forced Account Code calling for this station. Do you have access to a tech manual?

Having the manual will help as there are a few places that programming entries need to be made, and any other help you get will make more sense.

You'll have to designate the outgoing lines as Forced Account lines in Class 11, designate the station as Forced account in Class 10 and remove Toll Restriction from the station, and list Account codes in Class 5 and enable them in Class 4.

Still interested? smile

Hey Mr. Bean:
No, I do not have a full manual. I have a generalized guide to "light type" programming that was provided by the original installation team for use by the site group that was to handle day to day care. It does not go into anything much past changing a name or DID line set up. Certainly nothing like you mentioned.

However, I have been playing with the system a bit and have a number of full classes under my belt going all the way back to ROLM VLCBX and Nortel Ox32 and Panasonic (Everything they sell) so I think we could work through this.

I have looked at the programming tool and see the Forced Account Code heading. Under that are sub headings of Class 37 Forced Account and Toll Dial. I looked in each one and do not see the areas to which you refer. Can you help me out? I can be reached at 919 730-9207 if you are willing to make a call. Thanks for whatever help you can offer. Nothing received. I did not see this until after clearing out my junk mail today - but did not see anything there. Not looking closely tho. Please resend and I will be looking. They are killing me about getting this done. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.

Hey Bean: I am now of the opionion that you think the system I am working on is older than it is. I don't have anything remotely like you describe and believe me I looked. I am working on a 4 cabinet Enterprise 5x Ver 05.10 R.02. The programming tool I am using doesn't have the headings and titles you described. I did find some areas that seemed to be part of what we are trying to do. I spoke to a local guy who works on older units and he was trying to point me in some of the same areas you mentioned. He also said that I should look to make sure the password number was set to 4. I found something under System Numbering> Feat/Ntwrk/AcdGrp> Station Password- which I set to 4. I hope that is correct. Also, in the area labeled Forced Account Code all the list of stations is there and every station had "NORMAL" under the Forced Account Code column. The one exception was the only other station that has the account code set up. That station has VFR All in the Forced Account Code field. I did the same thing for this new station. I just cannot find where the actual desired account code goes. I have been told that the working has a code of 5286 (cannot find it) and the new station wants a code of 2457 and I feel like if I can find where that goes we will go to work. The only thing I can find that appears to be an actual account code has one entry in the first field labeled 001 and that code 1111 doesn't appear to be what we are looking for. I looked through the speed dials and found nothing in any field all the way to 899. Thanks for whatever you can offer. I hope we can get this cooking tomorrow with the correct unit in mind!! THanks.

The Station Password item is listed as number 27 in the list of feature codes.

If you give me a direct email I can send screen shots if you need them.

Forced Account Codes are found in 37.01 and the Forced Account Code Length is in 4.71.03. I'm not sure what view you're using in the Programmer (there are two views), but if JBean tells you something's there, I can almost guarantee it is. He's a crack on the Iwatsu.

Thank you for the info. I am hoping that I can get in touch (directly with someone and stop this huge delay in getting replies. Is it possible to get a call from anyone on this? (919) 268-4410 Thanks for any help you can offer. I just need to get the desired PIN codes saved and I am good to go I think.
