Hi,
I just set up two new phone extensions and when someone calls their extension or a call is transferred to them the phone rings once and then the speaker opens. I must have missed something in the programming - probably very simple. I will keep looking but does someone know what I need to change to make the phone ring normally?

For anyone who may have this problem, I figured it out - feature 65 turned off auto-answer. Not sure why that appears to be the default for a new extension but at least now I know.

The setting you're looking for is under Stations>More Stations>Station settings for calling mode. Choices are Tone (Ringing) or Voice (Auto hands free).Depending upon a global setting in System programming, the calling mode dictates how a station rings/signals another station. FEAT 65 toggles the mode at the receiving end.
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.
