Andrew_in_DuPage Member Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 69 Naperville, IL, USA	I'm adding a third programming terminal to an IDS 228 system. Can someone tell me what the pinout of the cable is from the punch-down connector for I/O port 3 or 4 to a DB-9 on a PC's COM port? Thanks.

JJ Member Joined: Apr 2002 Posts: 1,101 Springfield, Illinois	RS232 ports on IDS are ports 1 and 2; 5 through 10 using Digital Data Interface Ports 3 and 4 are RS422 used for Operator Terminal (Wyse Terminal). RS232 pinout: DB25 to DB9 2 3 3 2 7 5 20 4 If all else fails, use a BFH.
