I am working on a project using trixbox CE. We are going to deploy the product as a voicemail system working behind a Tadiran Coral PBX. In my lab I have it working pretty well, I am able to transfer calls to the Tadiran digital telephones, we can voicemail notifications to cell phones and Tadiran stations, I have full feature function of the voicemail from the Tadiran stations and I can even light the message waiting lights on the Tadiran phones when there is a message in the trixbox voicemail box that is associated with the specific Tadiran station. HOWEVER, I have yet to figure out a way to turn the message waiting light off at the Tadiran phone when the trixbox voicemail message has been saved or deleted. Any Ideas?

I dont know much about either of those systems but I do know that there is usually some sort of dial string or code to turn msg waiting lights on and off. You have the "on" code correct, I would double check the "off" code.

Thanks for the quick response, I have the code to turn them off. The problem is that Asterisk/trixbox is a server based system, and as such, it needs some lines of code added to tell it that the voicemail turned those lights on in a system that sit's "in front of" the Asterisk/trixbox system. I'm trying to find some tricky way of having the Asterisk/trixbox go offhook and dial the appropriate code when a voicemail message has been saved or deleted.
Thanks again,
Ed

Not sure if Trixbox lets you program the hangup context, but you could have it check for voicemail on hang-up, and it it's preasent, issue the on-code, or if it's not, issue the off-code.
What you really want (from the sound of it) is access to the H extension in the voicemail context. How you gain access to it through trixbox's GUI is beyond me, and if you go modifying the back-end of trixbox you may very well break something. Trixbox is somewhat temperamental and any changes should be handled with kid gloves.
