If you don't have MOH, is it possible to allow the caller to hear the extension ringing when transfered? I saw a post dealing with dead air but the issue dealt with MOH. We don't have MOH and would like to have the caller hear something so they don't think they have been disconected. This hasn't been a problem in the past but it is becoming an issue now.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what you mean by it hasn't been a problem in the past..meaning..it didn't matter before if they didn't hear anything..or that they were hearing ringing before and or not now...??
My guess is that you have 'TRANSFER MUSIC OPT' SET TO Y (enabled) -M screen, and since you don't have music hooked up they are hearing nothing on a transfer. Chances are that if you disable that (N) they will hear ringing.

Sorry, no one seemed to care but now we have a new group using our system and their contacts seem to think that they are being disconnected.
On the M screen, Xfer Music OPT is already set to N.
Any other thoughts?

Set it to Y and add a music source LOL! [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com] ...sorry shoover...couldn't pass that up.

Don't know what to tell you..
P.S. Just to note.. Without a music source hooked up you'll hear ringing even if the TRANS M OPTION is set to Yes.

Your not going to believe this...but I just tried the opposite of the previous logic..and this is the outcome...YOU HAVE TO HAVE 'TRANSF MUSIC OPT' ENABLED ..SET TO YES TO HEAR RINGING OR MUSIC! GO FIGURE!?
