I am having problems getting into the admin programing of a Linksys PAP2. The default user name and password is not letting me in. This unit was on Vontage and we want to try and make it work with a Astrisk machine.

If the PAP2 was branded as a vonage version then it is locked once you allowed it to connect to the internet. I would suggest you buy an unlocked PAP2 from a reputable dealer. Most of the PAP2's on ebay are vonage units that have been unlocked, which means if you ever factory default them then they will be locked again.

Is there an other make or model of these devices on the market. I want to use it with an Astrisk server.

There are quite a few. I would try voiplink.com or 888telephony.com or any others that turn up in a google search for "Asterisk ATA". Just make sure you dont buy one's that say "Earthlink" or "Vonage" on them.

If you like to unlock the device you could you the following, this device was used with broadvoice. You need to know the vonage tftp server:
I was able to get in by doing a factory reset of the device, however there are some things that it just won't let me change. For instance, under the Voice | System tab I see this:
Restricted Access Domains: broadvoice.com,broadvoice.net
There doesn't seem to be any way to change this. Also, line 1 will not connect to any address other than one in the broadvoice.com or broadvoice.net domains. It will not let you download a firmware update from anything but those domains either. Broadvoice seems to have these settings somehow hardcoded into the device.
My current workaround for this problem has been to set up my Asterisk box with DNS, and I have an entry for config.broadvoice.com that points to the Asterisk box. I have the SPA-2100 configured to use the Asterisk box for DNS.
Now when I put config.broadvoice.com as my Proxy entry for Line 1, the SPA-2100 is faked out and connects to the Asterisk box instead. If I put in the real IP address of the Asterisk box it just won't work.
Good Luck!
