My company bought a few sites with Isotec systems and then promptly laid off the only engineer they had who knew them. I walked into a service call today to find this out and also because this phone system was made in the 80s, it is no longer technically supported by the MFG. I found this site after work tonight via google, so I am not totally prepared with info, but hope I can provide enough to get some help, I am not ready to throw in the towel. It hangs on the wall, has isotec on the covers, there is a switch at the base of the main cabinet to turn the programming mode on and off, with a led display just above to tell what programming mode/status you are currently in. All programming is doen from one set and a template. Programming is done from one set in the system. It seems that since the power reset on this system, it has lost it's marbles, the five lines that appeared on the the first strip of buttons, to the left on the phones have now moved to a default programming mode where they now appear on the first two top buttons as one and two, next 2 bttons down as three and four, etc.. I need to reprogram them back to the what the phones are labeled. I have a template, but cannot seem to figure out how to get the programming to take. I need help. Hate to tell a customer basically you are sol.. But left this site today like a beat dog.

Hmm... Do You know the Model number of the system? is there ' anything ' on the cover?

The ' only ' Executone systems I can think of with RED leds were the Encore 616's 1232's, 2464's and 3696's... But, You didn't need a template...

But, You did say Isotec....I can't remember any with RED leds? There was a system 36 with a BLUE almost neon looking display that You did need a template for, is that The type system you are talking about?

It sounds like a 36 to me.
If you have the template thats good.You need to access keys programming I'd have to get my template out to remember.
Because of the age of it ,you may want to check out the battery for the memory backup as its a nicad and could very well be dead.

My Mistake, I saw LEDS, and just thought RED !

You said the main cabinet, so i'll assume there are two side-by-side conected by ribbon cables. Most likely have an EZ-36 and it is fairly simple to program and has minimal features compared to todays systems. There should be system type info on the left hand side of the main cabinet, or the information display should show you that its a EZ-36. There are a few techs left that can help you along on reprogramming the system but I would replace the battery first, its got to be bad if original. let us know how we can help.

If I am reading my notes correct the replacement batteries are:
Sanyo Part # N-SBS
Interstate Battery Part # NIC0010


3.6 Volts / 90 mAh
