Greetings,
Can anybody recommend a good software package for conducting network assessments for VOIP installations (Vodavi, Iwatsu & Hosted PBX)? We've been running into numerous problems that I think could probably be minimalized with some pre-installation work. I've made inquires with various IT companies here in Maine, but haven't found one that offers that service as a "core compentency".

Alanysis is Vodavi's recommended provider of this service. If you call them at 888-422-2305, they can get you pointed in the right direction.

Why don't you enable SNMP traps and baseline your routers and switches for a couple of days. Just enable the RO (read only) strings and do some tests like bandwidth utilization, CPU usage, look at usage by application. What type of infrastructure equipment do you currently have? Have you any legacy baselines of the network? How is the current network equipment deployed?
