In Procomm Plus v4.8, the delete key is mapped to ^[W which the Executone IDS 228 doesn't recognize as a delete. Does anyone here know what I need to map the delete key to that will make the IDS see it as a delete? Thanks.

I'm not sure how the shift key function and the backspace function are entered in a key map. Will you explain further please? Thanks.

I know one program I used I had to do a CTRL+ TAB+ BACKSPACE to delete an entry.

Ahhh, that works, pvj. At least now I have some method for deleting things again (I lost my only Wyse terminal). I still would like to know how to map the delete key if anyone out there knows. Thanks.

But, thinging way back when I had an IBM Stink-Pad, I did have to ' remap ' my keyboard because the F-2 wasn't working and I was able to do it, Now, IF I can only remember how, I'll let You know.

Eureka! Thanks Nonameyet and pvj. CNTL-BACKSPACE works too. This time I went into the key map setup and swept over the entry that was in there and just typed CNTL-BACKSPACE. I saved the setup and tried to delete an entry in the IDS Directory. It worked! Thanks again for your assistance.

Awesome, nonameyet! I was always mystified by that, too-- and now that I read it I remember one of the guys who used to manage the system telling me about that... Now it's in my Procomm keyboard map.
