i have created a PRI connection and i have a problem with ring back tone.

The strange is that :if i call to PRI FROM Sip , H323 , or Gsm then i can get ringback tone,..but if a call to PRI via PSTN line then i cant get ringback tone

I am looking forward for your reply

Thank you in advance

I think the problem may be inband versus out of band ring generation. Most VoIP protocols generate ringing at the endpoint and don't actually pass it in the audio. Beyond call set-up a PRI actually passes ringing inband like a normal telephone line. I think this might be your issue. No idea how you fix any of that or check it with your configuration.

Go into the CLI and add "progress_ind setup enable 3" onto the PRI trunks.

Hi

First , thank you for your time

The problem is not between Voip and Pri

But between PSTN and PRI

This mean that in my GW i dont have to configure dial-peer

But only the controller , and the serial interface

Where i can find the command to change the progress indicator?

in the GW i have only this

controller E1 1/1
pri-group timeslots 1-31 service mgcp

interface Serial1/1:15
no ip address
encapsulation hdlc
isdn switch-type primary-net5
isdn not-end-to-end 64
isdn protocol-emulate network
isdn incoming-voice modem
isdn bind-l3 backhaul SESSION-SET-PGW
isdn send-alerting
isdn sending-complete
isdn outgoing ie progress-indicator
isdn incoming alerting add-PI
no cdp enable

Thank you in advance

We posted instructions on a possible fix which is immediately dismissed. At this point it's safe to assume that the instructions are still valid and should be tested or that no one here knows what the issue is.
