I have an Executone 108 cabinet with an ECPU and the only option is 432.
I have an Inforstar system on the shelf that I need to install; will I need to upgrade the CPU to at least an ACPU or will the ECPU work?

Thanks

Tony

An ECPU is quite capable of running the Infostar but you must have the VMS option loaded on the ECPU card or it won't work.Is this a pc based Infostar? If it is you'll also need some analog ports/DTMF receivers.

If it happens to be a VXC (Voice mail card) just stick it in an available slot and the vms option and your analog ports will appear

I don't think the VXC card will automatically activate the VMS feature on an ECPU.

Thanks everyone. This is a PC based Infostar. I forgot about the DTMF receivers.

Do not need DTMF recievers if you run it RS232. You will need VMS and VMI options loaded. Just need a open Rs232 port or DDI.

Good Luck!!

If all else fails, use a BFH.
