I have three T-1 circuits in the first cabinet of an IDS432 system. I want to add two more T-1 circuits and place them in the second cabinet, but I've had all sorts of problems.
If I move a known-good T-1 circuit from the first cabinet to a T-1 card in the second cabinet, every phone on the system will start ringing as soon as the T-1 syncs up. All I'm doing is unplugging a cable from one T-1 card and plugging it into another T-1 card.
I thought I had everything in the programming correct, but obviously something is askew. Has anyone else here ever seen every phone on an IDS system ring when a T-1 circuit was connected? Any clues as to what might be causing my problems would be appreciated.

It happens all the time if your T-1 type is incorrect. Check the "b" screen for T-1 type.

Check the dip switch setting on the T1 card.
Sometimes you just need to reset switchs for it to recognize the change.
Good Luck!!
If all else fails, use a BFH.
