Being a Huge Hospital system we have a ton of Buried Cable. Cutting/damaging as the City worker think the orange lines we paint on the ground when we locate cables are Targets. Anyway our Locator / A frame has just about bit the dust and we are looking at repairing some cables that have been damaged in the past. I am looking at picking up a TDR. The one I am looking at is the AEA 20/20 TDR. Has anyone used this unit? Or do you have any recommendations on a comparable unit? AnY help would be great.

Have you looked a the Fox and Hound underground cable locater? You can locate a cable with only 1 single wire attached. Just ground 1 lead to earth ground and the other to a single or multiple wires of the cable in question. Be sure to adjust the sensitivity so that it doesn't locate ac wires. Check this page. https://www.specialized.net/ecommerce/shop/seriesmaster.asp?series_id=Cable+Locators Bob ccpb
