Help!!! My tone generator got damaged while working in a water damage repair job. Now resistors R2, R3 and especially R8 are charbroiled to the point that I can't read the color codes.
Does anyone have a schematic, or feel like opening theirs and reading me the colors?
Thank you very much, Chuck

What about contacting Aines directly HERE ?

I have a brand-new one here, but none of the components are marked on the PCB

Tone generators are quite plentiful. For every one I buy I usually find one left behind by someone, usually Verizon. Not worth repairing in my opinion.

I grant you I can replace it for about $40, but, I come from an era where we were "repairmen" not "replacemen".

Hal, I gotta agree with Chuck. Heck, it's probably $2 worth of components and he'll wind up with extras because he has to buy 2 of each. I know it's not financially smart, but it's the challenge! smile John C. (Not Garand)

The Aines company is a small family-run American company, and has been very helpful in repairing their products, and their prices are reasonable.

Not to mention that they invented the yellow toner and "banana" for the Bell System back in the 1970's.
