Curious as to WHY you would have all keys on all phones programmed as 842... What if you just program ONE key on the phone - does it work then?

I'm using M32 and M40 by Executone. When I try using the button it just leaves one party on hold. I can never get both parties together on a conference call. I have all the phones programmed b/c we are here on base and majority of the people here has to do a conference call every so often. Sorry I had was sent out of town.

To make conference on IDS - Make first call, press TR/CON. Make second call, press TR/CON. Should be that easy. If your phone is configured as an operator station - there is an M-screen field that concerns operators and conference that could prevent success.

I'm guessing that you don't really have ALL keys on ALL phones programmed as 842 - since that would leave no positions available for line keys.

Not sure what an "M40" is... the M-series included 12, 18, 32 & 64.

I mis-worded that about all keys. I have one key programmed on each station. Make first call, press TR/CON. Make second call, press TR/CON. That's how we have done this in the past. But now when we try this it doesn't work. The first person stays on hold and when I press TR/CON again it doesn't do anything.
