help I have never seen Executone before, I do have the newly installed system running and some programming done. Having trouble with paging to an external amp and setting up extentions properly. Would like phone help from an experienced Executone tech if possible.

Thanks

The 25th pair on each STN card is an external paging output. Connect the input to your amplifier there.
Go into programming and go to the "B" screen for "System Programming". Press "E" to take you to "External Zone". Zone 01 is on the first station card, Zone 02 is on the second station card, etc.
Enter a 2 digit number in the "Page" field to assign the page code (60 is allpage, 61 thru 69 are available as page zones).
go to a phone , dial your page code, adjust the volume, done smile

I was working towards that, I have no stations connected to it though, using all 4x8 cards for the stations. I'll try it though, thanks!

I don't believe that the 4X8 station cards (for 108 & 228 cabinets) support external page port. Only the 12-port digital station card has external page port. If this is truly all you have, you'll need to look at analog station level or trunk level access.

The 4X8 Combo Station card supports external page on the last pair (Vi/Slt-Slt/Vi)of the 25 pair connector.

Excerpt from Tech Fact 1915 pertaining to the 4X8 for 108/228 (part 22930–1): "This card does not have the circuitry necessary to support an external page...". The 4X8 card for 84 DOES support external page.

The Post from Quick-link does not state what KSU/CPU is being used. If the the KSU/CPU is a 84, then 4X8 combo cards will work.

If you look at Tech Fact 1915, it also states that this 4X8 combo card (Part #22930-1.) requires the ACPU 8.0
The big difference between these two cards are the layout of the edge connectors.
The 228 Combo card (PN 22930-1) has the 25 pair edge connector on the bottom of card, with the LED's and line cord connections above.
The 84 Combo card (PN21150-3) has the 25 pair edge connector on top follow by the LED's and CO line cords.

Mike,
Quick-links quote "I have never seen Executone before" leads me to believe that he probably doesn’t know the difference between the IDS 84 KSU/CPU or 108 KSU and the several CPU types that can be installed.
