In what way doesn't it work? If you have the speakers wired and configured properly 240 watts certainly should be enough for 90 speakers in a grocery store.

From the sounds of this you have several problems and should be consulting a audio person to help trace them out. Do you have an impedance meter to check your speaker load? Does the hum increase and decrease with any of the volume controls? Toa and Bogen are both very good quality amps either one should be able to power 90 speakers.
