Been having some strange disconnects on some phones and can't figure out what is going on. Here's how the disconnects are described...
Phone rings and then there is a constant beeping noise like I am holding down a number key.......Trans/Con button constantly lights up and the Mktg light is also constantly blinking.
AND
Several calls this morning rang once and then had a tone like I was pressing a number key on the phone...Some calls just drop after a pop and hiss type noise and there is static from time to time on the line.
A couple of other users described the problem in a similar fashion but also mentioned that their line button goes out when this happens but if they press the flashhook a couple of times they can pull the call back.
I did notice that all of these users are on the same digital station card and replaced that card last night but now other users on that card are stating they are having that problem.
These users are in another office about 500ft down the hall from where the IDS cabinet resides.
Any ideas? Thanks.

recently installed card?
maybe slot in cabinet is going bad.
Or maybe just that card, try swapping?
check also the amphenol connector on the front, make sure it's seated squarely.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel..

What kind of service are the Lines? ground start, loop start, PRI, T1
It could be a bad line card in system, or TELCO could hav a bad card at SLIC
Good Luck!!
If all else fails, use a BFH.

Try swapping out the evcm for a day or so and see what happens. Had this same problem not long ago.

Thanks for all of your replies. I moved the station card to a different slot this weekend and we'll see if that corrects the problem.

Hey, wait a minute. Is this card on the left or right side of the cabinet?
Whatever side it's on, check that power supply. Swap the two if you can, and see if the problem moves to the other side of the cabinet.
I was confused when I mentioned the evcm. Lots going on here...
