Greetings all, I am in the process of replacing all our outdated executone amps with new bogen amps and was wondering how you guys would set audio levels for each amp. Using a tone or pink noise would be kinda problematic due to the fact that patients and faculty would be very bothered by the noise.I was going to start one section at a time with the amps all turned down and raise the level in each area with a listener there to indicate loudness. I have a "VU" meter on the rack to monitor the output and maybe I should make note of each sections levels on it before i change out the equipment then reset each new amp back to that level. I don't know. What do you guys think?
Sam

Welcome aboard Sam If you are just replacing the amp then you could do it with two people and get it close. What I do is put a tone on the input with a volt meter on the 70v output. If you bring the tone volume up slow then you can check the amps output without scaring all the patients. Remember what tone level your at and the output voltage. When you install the new amp use the same tone level and bring the amp volume up to match the original amps output voltage.
