We are replacing an Inter-Tel 10-node Axxess that we installed back in 1999 (damaged by water).
One of the many advanced features for its time was station all-page at the primary node as well as the each node's ability to page across to other nodes via the IPRC cards inter-networking.
In order to replicate this functionality on their new Samsung 7400, 7200s, and 7030 new nodes we need to come up with some sort of re-creation of this off-node paging.
Any ideas?
We see that Valcom has IP paging that may do the trick but it will require running cable and installing speakers. (Probably a significant expense that the insurance claims people will need to be made aware of).
Are there any other options that would allow paging over the individual phone systems? Sounds crazy, but was thinking some IP device that when tripped would grab an SLI port, dial 55* and allow a page via the phones at that location. Probably not?
We need to look at options here and apparently that node/all/to-node paging capability was unique to the old Inter-tel.
Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.

Why didn't you go with a Mitel 5000? You could keep the same phones and features...plus add a lot more new bells and whistles.

Not a Mitel fan. When they bought Inter-tel they promised support for the Axxess then turned around and doubled prices on cards, cut support, made licensing and transfers extremely difficult. We were dealers since 1984 and really miss Inter-tel, but Mitel you can keep.
The other issue is we believe manufacturers that sell only phones systems won't be around for the long term. We don't want to have to go through it all over again.
Planning out a Mitel and implementing a replacement would have taken many days or weeks with the system dead in the water literally. We stock Samsung and had basic phones restored with 48 hours. 400+ phones on nodes.
