Fellow techies,
A few of my phones are old enough that I'm starting to get hit with rapidly-deteriorating voice quality on the old-style T1 carbon transmitters.
Does there exist, other than the well-known "Confidencer," a drop-in (or wire-in) replacement for the mic element in G-type handsets? I really don't need noise-cancelling, per se, just a better mic (I'm thinking condenser element with a built-in preamp).
Waiting to hear (and betting that Ed answers up first).
Thanks much.

Try Mike Sandman,The contact points on mic's would oxidize and need cleaning, also contacts on dial pad can cause problems.
