Does anyone know how the current rating of these fuses can be determined? I have "repaired" my bad ones by using a strand from copper wire in an old vacuum cleaner cord. A broken Amphenol connector shorting out confirmed the "fuses" work, but I would like to see exactly what the original current rating was.
You can always tell when something is old if it says "Made in USA"

White ones are 1-1/3 amp, the red ones are 1/2 amp. Other than that, I can't remember the other ones.

Looked out in shop, Brown looks like 3/4 and orange looks like 2 amp. Have assorted fuses in original boxes.

OK I have the browns, have not seen the orange ones yet. Since they are old maybe the colors have faded?

1A2 really only used white, red and brown ones. The other colors were used mostly in the Dimension and Horizon PBX equipment and had much lower ratings.

They were used in the C.O. as well, I will look for my old notes to see what I can find. I know some had white stripes on the colored end and that was for slow blow. Violet = .25amp Brown=.75amp

70B Orange 2 amp
70C Blue 3 amp
70D Green 5 amp
70E Yellow .180 amp
70F Violet .25 amp
70G Red .50 amp
70H Brown .75 amp
70K Red/White .25 amp
70P Violet/White .15 amp
They were used in great quantities in the XBT office
