Yes, what Ed said. I've seen the Y/SL used for anything BUT common audible. And Y/OR used for anything but IC. And I've blown my share of fuses because I ASSUMED that the system was wired in the STANDARD manner! That's probably why the 1A2 was so bulletproof. Kept 'fudge' installers from burning down buildings and killing entire phone systems. smile John C.
