Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii.

Thank you in advance for any advice to this question.

I have a 551KSU and my line 2 lamp does not flash while on hold.

Blinks when ringing or steady when in use.

I can place calls on hold but the lamp just goes out.

All stations have the same problem.

Is the call on the held line dropped from hold or does it hold the call with no lamp wink?

If the call remains held with no lamp, try swapping the line cards to see if this issue follows the card.

If this ends up being the case, check the strapping options on the handle of the card. There is an option that permits a steady lamp or wink when the line is on hold. If the strap is completely missing, then you won't receive any form of lamp when a call is placed on hold.

Check to ensure that the strapping options on both cards match the one that actually does provide wink on hold.

aloha and thanks for the fast response. yes that 400G card was missing the bottom strap/jumper.

I replaced it with a spare and works great now.
