Recently did a cutover for a customer with a Sprint Protege 616 with the gray voicebrick external voicemail(not sure what it's called by Sprint). After cutting over the system, the msg waiting indicators stopped working. Now a few days later some people can't access their voicemail. I don't have any manuals or software to go thru the voicemail programming. Can anyone offer help?

The voicemail is a DVP. If you moved it with the program intact chances are you re hooked the voice mail to the wrong ports. This voice mail should connect to 1 or 2 digital ports via an analog adapter. (1 for a 2 port, 2 for a 4 port) The message key is is function 64. If the voicemail was added to a pre existing system, you must program a voicemail hunt group with those ports in it. call the group an integrated vmail group. Let me know if you need additional help

Voicemail and system was already in place. We simply moved cross connects from one LEC to another.

powered down system only after we discovered a week later that MWI wasn't working. All extensions stayed the same. What software do I need to access the VM?

i do not think it is a voicemail issue, do they have display phones if so do they get notification o the display 'message for xxx(voicemail)' and can reply. what is the vm number. the CTX has a problem that when it looses power it can loose button programming, try to program the voicemail key as funtion 64 and let me know

My guess it is a 4port system. the first 2ports are hooked up the 2nd two or not. That would explain why sometimes you can access the voicemail. Make sure you have two cross connects leaving the system and going to 2 analog devices. From there you should have 4 mounting cords going to the vmail. The programming for this vmail is done through the phone. There is nothing wrong with the vmail, it is flash memory and is very stable.

Feature 64 responds with "Code Unavailable". All phones are display, voicemail keys are mapped to hunt group 436 (which contains VM ports 290 and 291). VM is a 2 port system. Finally figured out that port 2 wasn't working. The cross connect coming from the Analog adapter was coming loose. Redid the connection and now everything seems to work. Thanks everyone for your help
