Oh great phone masters...
Although ceritifiable on these guys, been a number of years since I worked on one. I am in Jackson Mississippi, the system resides in LasVegas Nevada (we actualy have an office out there)My boss is trying to do a few program changes, I gave him all the S#### software I had (the S does indicate the smaller flat,6x16, wall mount boxes??). Had him pop cover to verify software (should say software on chips in cabinet) this is what he gave me K32 US 3.220 U13 and something similar on a U12 chip. Is this one of the REAL old systems that dont require connecting a laptop to program?? And if so can any of you send me the programming directions to fix this?? I am no longer at the company that certified me and tech support want help.

I'm in the same boat with the same chip and none of the software I have seems to make a connection to the system. I'm at the point now that I'm bringng out a guy that works on these systems just to show me how to connect to it. If I come up with anything, I will post another reply and let you know.

Are you sure the 616 is programable via the laptop?
I remember some of the newer (5 years old now) small Sprints programmed via both the phone and laptop, and some of the older 32s programmed only by phone, and of course there were some that only programmed via the laptop. I would try the F#* or F#0 (forgot which get you into Admin and which is to set night mode)

i think the software f32 is the first batch of ctx, the real question for poolfool is is it a large flat white metal box or a small white plastic box?

Its not the white plastic box, its the older system, first version of the CTX.

Tell the boss to get real, you are dealing with a 10 plus year system. You could upgrade the KSU to a CTX, but why?

Just my thoughts

Can anyone tell me what voicemail system will mate up with the sprint protege.

The system is working fine after 10 years.
The voicemail is smooth operator by octel running on a 286 box windows 95 not 2000 compatable so timestamp does not work.

Need updating although mostly works now.

I like the Aleen VME 4000 voice mail unit for use with the Protege. It has 2 ports and can be expanded to 4 with a daughter card.

There are many other brands but I have had good luck with the VME 4000.

Aleen is the way to go, very simple and inexpensive.

They have 3 intergrations for the Protege, two of them do not work. If you buy one, post and I will tell you what to look for so you use the right one.
