Is anybody else experiencing low volume problems on IP phones? We have a customer complaining and holding up an install for the last 6 months because the volume on the T208's and Flexset-IP's aren't loud enough for them.

Have you increased the gain levels and are you running g7.11?

I had that very issue and went to g7.11. Hmm, have you tried upping the gain on an IP set? I remember doing it on a UGW and seemed to work.

On the UGW? I'll try that one.

OK, I set a comp for +4 and +4. I tried A/B between that comp and comp 0(+0 -0) on both my test T208M and the UGW port. I heard no difference. Then I set up comp 5 for -6 and -6. Applied to both the phone port and the UGW port. Still no difference.

If you go in through the web interface as Rony has stated you can adjust the T-phone but not the Flexset IP phone. Are you having the volume problems on FXO or outside trunks to the IP phone or phone to phone? If it is IP phone to FXO you can up volume in the FXO or in comps for the FXO trunks.

Duh, I forgot the browser (and Tadiran America forgot to remind me). However, I'm still having problems with satisfying the customer. 2 main complaints.

1. Dial tone blows out your ear, then you can't hear the caller.

2. Even with the volume turned up, they say the volume is to low.

Tadiran is having me upgrade everything in the system and I'm waiting for the upgrade from 15.68.05 before I can get anymore advice from them.

I've got a half million dollar project going down the drain.

I have had the complaint on IP phone to FXO has a lower volume than the call going out a PRI or to another digital extension. Are you using an FXO?
