Thanks Windy, that's interesting as I've already talked to him and he sent me a new CAB 2. Also, I got a new CAB 1 under warrany, intalled them last night with the help of a local Tadiran company and had more problems than when I started. I'm wondering if alot of the ICE issues are due to improper database programming, it seems that would be logical, certainly another set of cabinets couldn't be bad, too. Some of the issues I'm having are X-talk when dialing system speed dial number, trunk ports not passing dial tone, the modem won't answer and I can't connect with system to program it. Help! By the way, Walter is a great person to deal with.

Yes, reinstalling both Corals as in starting over from the beginning. They were just thrown in and not properly installed 7 years ago. We've changed some since then so I've re-engineered them both (on paper anyway) to better accomodate our needs both now and moving forward. How you doing Ralph?

Hanging in, trying to understand Shoretel. I think I still prefer Panasonic.

Panasonic, yes, for me, I started installing them when they first came out. The manuals back then were translated from Japanese making reading them frustrating kinda like the Emerald documentation even today.

Last Thursday I had a local Tadiran company replace CAB1 and CAB 2. Voicemail seems to be better however 3 trunk ports now will not pass dial tone, one analog port stays busy all the time and when dialing a system speed dial index number there is brief moment of cross talk. I love this system...............I think I hear Avaya calling me. I will be defaulting the system tonight and reprogrmming it one piece at a time. Maybe I'll find something. Any input would be appreciated, this is the first time I've actually had my hands on this system. Thanks

3 trunks without dial tone sounds like an open circuit. Did the local get the amphenol all the way down? Analog port busied out, did they rewire the MDF and short circuit it? Cross talk could be wiring also. None of the above sound like programming to me.

Hi Ralph, I've cleaned up the x-conn wiring on all 24 CO Lines but I don't think that was ever an issue. The poor anphenol has been reseated so many times. I may plug another amphenol into and test the pairs those lines are riding on. What I haven't done is access a line and short out all others to test for telco cross talk. As far as busied analog port, how do you check for that? Actually now, I have 6 CO ports not working and they all reside on the 6CO expansion card in CAB1. I'll have to get pricing on another one. If you have my cell number can you call me today? Thanks man.

Sometimes you just have to do it yourself. I pulled the system apart and sure enough the CO expansion care connector cable was loose. I also built a separate data base with ONLY what was needed. It's been 3 weeks now and NO problems with the phone system. The Flash Voicemail however is a different story. I am trying to get approval for ProComm+ and a new laptop so I go in an rebuild it from scratch. Currently the dial by name is flaky, you might what John and get Mary. The zero out feature doesn't work at all.
