on a uCMC, how do you kill the "please hold while I try that extension". I'm trying to set up a CCR in a mailbox to reroute incoming calls after hours and on weekends and don't want the pesky lady.

Or should I be using a regular CCR

Disclaimer not for the end user to do themselves please be a qualified technician.

Whenever the system starts to transfer a Caller to a telephone extension, there is an announcement of the impending action:

"Please hold while I transfer your call."

Some installation sites may not want to hear this announcement, but prefer a silent transfer to the Subscriber's telephone.. Follow the steps outlined below to turn off this announcement:

1. From the Desktop, open Windows Explorer

2. Navigate to the C:\TAD\DATA folder

3. Right-click on the SETTINGS.INI file and select OPEN - the file will open in Notepad for editing.

4. Under the [TRANS] section, change the value of the TYPE variable from 0 to 1

5. Click on File, Save

6. Close Notepad

7. Close Windows Explorer

From now on, whenever a transfer is initiated, the announcement will no longer play.

This is a dynamic change and takes effect immediately without restarting the system.

Allowed values:

0 - transfer announcement is played to the Caller

1 - transfer announcement is not played to the Caller

Hope this helps, I found it in the online manual that is on everysystem. it is listed under the "How do I " help topic.

if it is not the one you are looking for there is another in the mailbox abcdefghijkl fields that turns off "that extension is busy" and "that extension does not answer"
