not receiving caller ID on SLT's. i have all SLS v5 cards so according to Tadiran manual i don't need a IDSP card. Receive CID is set to yes under SLT definition and everything else is at their defaults.

Never heard of an SLS card in a full sized Tadiran passing CID without an iDSP resource card. SLS cards have to be at a minimum revision AND software level to do this. IPX500 and IPXOffice have this ability in their backplanes in DSP's that can be activated.

I read it very clearly stating x or y and z to make it work. Very clearly the manuals are for people that have went to the very minimum I&M classes. There is information assumed to be known because the manuals are for field service techs. It's very much the same way for msce or cisco etc.

The iDSP is build in on the Office, 500 and 200. Your 4000 requires the iDSP per Tadiran.
