hey yall, im gon be installing this system for one of my friends in his shop im using model 18 and 32 phones. he got it off ebay. I have read that i need some kind of procomm software, but i am using vista on my laptop, and i dont think it will work. so what should i use? I have installed an norstar cics before, compared to this how hard is the ids? any information will help thanx

thanx carl, i need to get an adapter for my laptop because it only has USB ports,can u suggest anything i select com3, what do i set the bits persecond,data bits,parity,stop bits,flow control to?
You can get Procom or PC plus from this web site it's free however unless you have an older PC with a slow processor and dos access you will need to pc plus for windows. I think they have it here also and if your pc doesn't have a seral port you will need a usb to seral adaptor Your best bet would be to pay some one to remotely program it for you $50 to $100 https://vetusware.com/

I just checked the setting on My pc, running XP.
There is No setting for TVI920 or TVI950. (That Is why, It Won't work)
thanks for all the replies, i got the procomm software today. the only other thing is, wiring the extensions, i see it has a 50 pin connector, does any one know what colors are for what extensions, is it 2wires or 4, i bought a manual but i didnt see it in there.
