Electronic "tattoo" display runs on blood Jim Mielke's wireless blood-fueled display is a true merging of technology and body art. At the recent Greener Gadgets Design Competition, the engineer demonstrated a subcutaneously implanted touch-screen that operates as a cell phone display, with the potential for 3G video calls that are visible just underneath the skin. ---- Wow... now that's a "green" invention, if ever there was one, powered by YOU! It won't be long before it's a full color display and you can check your "myspace" on it! Hahaha I love technology... we're all doomed... darn kids and those computers.

I will look for the "Dorito" chip version ---- The fact that they already have bluetooth working on it is amazing for how small it is. It definitely has many good implications for medical uses... as well as being able to post here, via my arm! teehee!

At first glance it is unsettling in a way, I agree.
But if you think about it, the medical community has been using man/machine integration for years (the artificial pacemaker, for one)

I'm sure someone will make the case that it causes cancer and pull it from production.

Doing this for "pleasure" for lack of a better word is something I'm not ready to grasp quite yet. Interesting, but I have no personal interest in participating.

[/b]It can be both is what I was thinking. It can be a constant monitoring system, that warns you immediately if something is awry and you can SMS that msg to your docs office! Maybe it'll even shock you if you pickup a piece of fried chicken

They can do this but they can't cure my diabetes or produce an implanted continuous glucose monitor. I need to get my fax hole working and send some notes.
