Verizon has decided to shut down their "VoiceWing" VOIP telephone service. Isn't this what they sued Vonage over for patent infringement upon their proprietary technology? Cable companies, meanwhile, have used similar technology to successfully introduce their own phone services.
Not exactly similar technology, is it.
It's about time people figured out that there is a problem with telephone over the public internet. I can't see how Vonage stays in business.

I've been on voip for about four years and 99% of the time I have good voice quality. For the pittance I pay compared to VeriZon, I'll live with the 1% goofies, and it really is less than 1%.
Go ahead and pay Verizon's insane rates and tell me how wonderful 100% quality is when you write the check.

-Hal Problem is Hal, there’s soooooo many have people that outfits like Vonage are not phone companies. Even some pretty tech savvy people I’ve spoken to have “not a clue. NONE†what VoIP providers like Vonage really are. :rolleyes:
