I would like to activate LCR on an IDS 228 runing ECLIPSE 3.0.. I also need a E911 trunk card (p/n 15220?, 15240?). Is there any support for the product? Its been some time since I have had to contact Network support.

There is a lot more to it , than just activating LCR...unfortunaly The company that used to do this is out of business.

I hate to respond to my own msg, but I have some information relating to the question at hand. Mitel / Inter-Tel are supporting the IDS brand and related software issues. However they are not providing LCR down-loads. I have however found a possable work-around that may resolve my delema. The proof will be in the pudding.

Well, I didn't say they wasn't a ' work a round '
You could back up an exsisting LCR database and Load it into Your system....BUT....
The Point of the LCR was for properly routing of Outbound Calls over the Cheapest way, based on the Carrier.
So, If you had different carriers in your backup, it would not Really be the Best way to do it.

Its been a long time, but for e911 to work you need to order cama trunks (2 of them I believe). The lcr needed to be built to support the cama routing. Then you need to have a third party like redsky manage the e911 database between the IDS and telco. I am not 100% sure but I may have an e911 card.
