Here is a beaut for anyone with ideas. I need to integrate an existing IDS 228 with Transparent Intercom Dialing to a Mitel 5200.
Here is my plan:
Remove existing "slave" IDS Connect 5200 via T-1 (D4/AMI) Build phantom extension for the IDS extensions on the 5200 Manually call forward external the phantoms to the IDS extensions using the last 3 digits Build a route group on the 5200 for the IDS with XXXE as the dialing pattern and send it out the TIE T-1 Build a call routing table on the 5200 to send the 3 digit "DNIS" sent from the IDS to route to the the 4 digit 5200 extensions. Leave the existing TID progamming on the IDS as is.
My big question is this, the IDS needs *9* to skip the DID translation table and use LCR. I am not sure if the *9*, which is what an IDS user would normally dial to use LCR on another node, is actually sent via the TIE T-1 or if another digit code is used.
Anybody try anything like this?

I have a long time ago with a Harris 20/20 switch and the IDS. I believe * is a bypass and then 9* is the same as a single station would dial for LCR access. What I did was set up a T1 analyzer to monitor digits sent during different situations (Tranfer, voicemail access, Transfer direct to voicemail etc) The IDS is pretty inflexible but I was able to duplicate the required digits in the Harris for both receive and send, worked well.
