OK, I should really stop poking around this system on a beautiful Friday afternoon . . . but I also noticed when looking in the C screen that one of the roll-over lines was sitting in the VM/Auto attendant for a long time - over ten minutes. I clipped on the line and, best I can tell, the caller put the line on hold without ever making a selection, so the options just kept replaying.
On the EXC screen 'I' for CCR, the time out option is the same as the wrong key option, which just replays the current greeting. This explains how the line got hung in the VM for so long (I eventually reset the VM card to clear the line).
But I can't find how to set an actual time-out if the caller chooses nothing.
Any ideas? (other than upgrade to a system that isn't 15 years old :-)

you need few settings in the system in M screen, then T make sure full talk mode is set to Y. then drop pulse in B screen is 12 or 14. In the voicemail I always set in the J screen third line down, maximum silence during recording to 12 and minimum message length to 4, and this will solve your problems. good lock, if it fails, call me.
Executone super tech.

I may have to call you. Full talk mode is set to Y (all three in first column are Y and all three in second column are N) in T portion of M screen.
drop pulse in B screen is 14 (but I tried on 12 also)
In VM, J screen max silence is set to 10 already and length is already at 4.
I was thinking maybe the caller having music while she put the call on hold caused the problem (never any silence) but I tried calling from my cell and hit mute and let it sit - it never timed out or dropped the call.
I can imagine this would tie up all our VM ports if by odd chance several people did this.
I keep going back to the last line of the CCR screen for each greeting where it has an option for 'time out' and it is currently set to just keep playing the same greeting - which it is doing. Maybe something else should be there?

It's because you have it looping back to the greeting and your disconnect supervision isn't working. Suggest you send it someplace else like the general delivery mailbox then it will drop off. PM if need support
