Are there still 4 amp, 6 amp and 9 amp power supplies available on the AXXESS? When do you use which type of power supply?
Thanks,
Confused

Yes theres still all three power supplys. Basically it works like this. The 4 amp will power two or less DKSC16. The 6 amp might do 4 DKSC16 cards, it also depends on other cards in the system and how many amps they draw. The best bet is to use a 9 amp. It covers everything. As you can see it is a pain trying to figure out how many amps your drawing from the DKSC16's and then trying to figure out what power supply you need. I always use the 9 amp no matter what.

The 4-amp power supply can only be used with the Axxess 64. The 6-amp power supply should only be used if you are using only 1 DKSC-16. The 9-amp is used if using more than 1 DKSC-16. The 9-amp is also recommended if using a T-1.

On a side note, the 6-amp P/S has been discontinued. So, you can't go wrong with the 9.

Although the 6 amp is discontinued, there is a ton of it available on the secondary market. Prices range from $100 to $150.
