Hello! We're using the Inter-Tel Axxess phone system with a master phone and several display phones. One of our managers switched offices and would like to keep her phone extension the same. How do we move her extension to the new phone location and vice versa w/ the pre-existing extension where she has just moved to? For now we have her calls being forwarded to the new location and internally we know to call the new extension for her. Any help? I don't have access to the master user guide at this point. Any help is appreciated! Thanks! Ronn

Unless you have the latest version of Axxess (7.0) you'll have to swap the circuts in the phone room with a punchdown tool. If you unplug and plug a phone back in, it will briefly display the circut number. If that's something you're not comfortable with you might need to call in a tech.

Thanks for your help BullCube. That's what I was afraid of, and of course we were trying to not call a tech in. Not sure what version of software we have either. Thanks again for your help!

I noticed you were in the Baltimore area. I used to work for an Inter-tel dealer until recently starting my own company. I know how the dealers charge an arm and a leg. If you are interested, I would be glad to help you at a minimal charge. Thank you Stacomm. I wish I had the authority to make those decisions but I do not. Our company is already in the midst of negotiating a contract w/ another vendor, so they will probably make the change for us when they come on board. Thanks again for your reply and offer.
